Packaged perfection

Three fully functional and tidy, but nonetheless classy, rooms have been tailored within the budget and space constraints of a Newlands newbuild project for Signature Homes Greater Wellington.

Working closely with the end clients, who had a specific aesthetic and vision in mind for their family home, designer Liam meticulously incorporated a range of practical features and touches of sophistication across a galley kitchen, walk-in pantry and laundry.

With the kitchen serving as a walkway to the rest of the house, this planning included careful consideration of the surrounding thoroughfares without sacrificing working space in the kitchen.

Notable kitchen design features include the uniquely-pitted finish of the 12mm Laminex Laminan used on the island, hob bench and splashback, Burns & Ferrall Quadra 500mm Granitek Black sink, on-bench pantry, small appliances “garage” and integrated dishwasher.

While achieving a minimalist aesthetic, touches of sophistication and colour were brought through Archant Dunstall Brass handles and an oversized flap door in Melteca Aged Walnut achieving neat contrast with the Melteca Bullet cabinetry.

The walk-in pantry contains various different-sized and designed open storage spaces and generous bench space. The Bestwood Arctic White cabinetry being offset against the Laminex Darkside Marble Velour 37mm benchtop, with the room able to be concealed from the kitchen by a sliding door.

Located elsewhere in the home, the laundry features bright Melteca Spinifex and Warm White cabinetry, with highlights including the Bramco Trendstone White Galaxy 30mm benchtop, under-mounted Archant Robiq 340mm sink, and floor-to-ceiling broom cupboard among other open and closed storage options.
