Mastercraft Kitchens Wellington is progressing a number of internal initiatives aimed at streamlining our overall operation alongside maximising the wellbeing and safety of our work family. The end goal being that we should be able to deliver our projects quicker and more cost effectively, but at the same high levels of quality (or even better!).

Hopes for a more settled year of business in 2026 and other company updates are discussed by Mastercraft Kitchens Wellington co-owner Tony Hawes.

Staff are undertaking various courses and a Health and Safety Committee has been formed, in measures aimed at both empowering and ensuring the safety of our work family.

Katie Fagg (pictured) has been appointed Design and Sales Team leader, new qualifications have been secured by two of the team and we’ve arranged cover as a further staff member departs on maternity leave.

A major home renovation was brought to a crescendo for Ngaio couple Meredith & Cam and their two young children, as three small and dated rooms were combined into one modern kitchen with concealed laundry.

Modern, open-plan living was brought to what previously was described as a “pokey, rabbit warren” layout for Petone couple Isaac and Roisin, by uniting a new kitchen with dining room and lounge around a feature island.

The custom kitchen renovation was complemented by an accompanying new scullery/laundry design.

Although it is still proving to be a testing business environment, Mastercraft Kitchens Wellington has in recent months continued to implement changes and upgrades to improve our business.

These improvements are not only internal, but will also hopefully lead to us providing a better experience for our clients.

We are already realising benefits from the introduction of Lean manufacturing principles alongside the deployment of the Jobman scheduling software and other strategic business improvements.
